Tennis Camps


Our popular tennis camps run every school holiday of the year. It can be an excellent way to introduce young people to tennis or to improve and/or practice your skills if you are an experienced player. We can meet all your needs! Children can attend for mornings or afternoons only with each booked separately.

A Typical Day

9.00 - 9.15: Arrival & sign-in
9.15 - 9.55: Warm up including strength & condition & ABCs
10.00 - 10.55: Technique & tactics
10.55 - 11.05: Drinks & snack break
11.05 - 12.00: Rallying games

Our afternoon camps are separate from the morning and run to the same schedule starting at 12.30pm

What To Bring

- Clothes suitable for athletic activity
- Non-marking shoes
- We aim to play outside even during inclement weather so please bring a waterproof jacket also sun cream and a hat
- Lunch for those staying all day and snacks and drinks. We are able to refill drinks with water.

Craig McEwan Coach

Craig and Marian McEwan founded Sway Tennis Club in May 1984.  Craig has coached at county, regional and national level, with 3 of his former pupils gaining world rankings in the Men’s game and a Junior player achieving top 100 status.  He is a former LTA Tutor, Examiner and Referee, and has a special interest in and experience of wheelchair tennis at international level.  He holds academic qualifications in Education and Psychology and is a qualified Sports masseur and Reiki practitioner.
